Islena Basket - Oaxacan Basket
Our basket collection is designed by Juana Mendoza and handmade by her women's weaving collective in the mixtec region of Oaxaca.
Made of palm fiber harvested in the region, each basket has a unique woven pattern. Our baskets are woven entirely by hand. The Islena basket is our largest woven basket. The tan-colored palm fiber gets its color from the sun. The perfect basket to accompany you on summer travel, beach adventures and visits to the farmers market. Comes in the diagonal weave Leather straps.
